There is currently a weed revolution going on right now in the world of marijuana cultivation. New strains are being developed on a daily basis and the potency of these strains continue to rise. The top types of weed can be classified as either sativa, indica, or hybrid. Weed botanists use these cannabis plants to experiment and invent new strains of marijuana. With advances in technology these new strains can be bred to bring out specific effects and growing qualities. During the growing process these strains can be nurtured even further to increase potency and strength. As new strains and growing technologies are developed they speed the continuing evolution of the cannabis plant to supernatural levels.

Some of the best sativa types of marijuana come from the Haze strain. Haze is the original sativa strain from the island of Jamaica. This is an extremely tall and bushy plant that can grow well over 10 feet. The leaves and the buds are quite long and colored light green, yellow, and gold. The sticky, crystal covered buds will give you an intense sativa buzz from the very first hit. It's nearly impossible to roll a joint with this strain because of the stickiness and the crystals. But in a pipe it will take half a hit to send you on your way. Indoor climates are best for the Haze plant, which will flower at around 10 to 12 weeks. With proper care these plants will yield approximately 200 grams per square meter. The buds are very condensed and have a high THC content of around 20%. When smoked the Haze strain provides one of the most potent sativa highs you will ever experience.

One of the most potent indica strains of all time is Northern Lights. This pure indica plant has broad leaves and large fluffy buds. The leaves and the buds are covered in a layer of beautiful crystals and trichomes. It's not a large plant by any means but it produces a crazy yield of 400 grams per square meter. The Northern Lights strain is highly adapted for indoor growing, with a quick flowering period of around 9 weeks. This is an award wining strain that consistently dominates indica categories. Northern Lights is a personal favorite of the Amsterdam coffee shop scene, appearing on every weed menu in town. Smoking this potent indica will give you a warm body high accentuated by energy and positive emotions.

In the world of hybrid marijuana strains, few can compete with the raw power of White Widow. This strain is an indica/sativa mix that is considered by many to be the strongest type of cannabis in existence. The name comes from its dramatic white appearance. The buds are actually dark green, but there is such a thick layer of THC crystals it makes the entire plant look white. This plant has THC levels as high as 25% that will have you readjusting your tolerance level. It's a great producing plant with yields of 450 grams per square meter. white widow is an impressive weed all around and its reputation is well earned. Whether you are smoking, growing, or just admiring its good looks, you are going to be impressed by white widow.
