One of the most popular methods for growing high quality strains of marijuana is hydroponic growing. This method suspends the roots of the marijuana plant in water instead of soil. Nutrients can be added to the water and absorbed by the plants with more efficiency than the traditional soil method. Soil acts as a reservoir for the plant's nutrients but a contained water source can accomplish the same results. The only difference is that the nutrients must be artificially added to the water. This gives you greater control over the most important aspects of growing, water and nutrition. This direct control is important if you want to grow marijuana that is healthy and powerful.
Hydroponic systems are mostly used for indoor growing environments. It became popular with marijuana growers because of the need to grow indoors with limited supplies. With a water system you don't have to constantly buy soil and fertilizer. And the water you start with stays in the system so you do not constantly have to water the plants. This system gives you the ability to control the nutrition levels in their entirety. It also eliminates the possibility of any contamination of the nutrients. This is important because a healthy plant will produce larger, more potent buds. Hydro systems also lessen the possibility of pests and diseases that can plague a soil based plant. When the growing process is complete the convenience of this indoor system makes the plants much easier to harvest. The hydro plants produce stable yields that will remain consistent through every harvest. Using hydroponics is the best method to grow weed if you want direct control over every aspect of the growing process. The only downside to growing with hydroponics is that without the soil there is no room for error. Any failure in the hydroponic system will lead to rapid plant death of the entire crop. This problem can be avoided with regular monitoring of the plants and equipment. Another downside is that correctly operating a hydroponic system takes a high level of skill. This is not an endeavor for the novice weed grower. You also have to know which strains will work with an indoor hydro system. Some plants will do poorly even with the best conditions if they prefer an outdoor natural environment. Other rare problems can occur such as diseases and pathogens caused by the humid nature of hydroponic growing. But most of these problems can be easily overcome by a gardener who knows how to grow cannabis with hydroponics. The best method to grow weed indoors successfully is with a hydroponic system. Most of the problems that can occur with a marijuana crop come from poor soil nutrition. Either the plants are not getting enough water and nutrients or they are getting too much. Both will spell disaster for the marijuana's quality. All of these problems can be avoided if you invest in the equipment and learn how to properly operate a hydroponic growing system.
